XDriv is a privacy-first platform for sharing files and holding end-to-end encrypted conversations — without accounts, tracking, or compromise. Built for journalists, lawyers, founders, designers and anyone who treats privacy as a non-negotiable.
Our mission
The modern web was supposed to make sharing effortless. Instead it became an arms race of consent banners, retargeting pixels and data harvesting. XDriv exists to prove the opposite is still possible: a beautiful, fast, modern product that respects its users by default. No sign-ups. No surveillance. No dark patterns. Just send, chat, and move on with your day.
What you can do
- Share files in seconds. Drop up to five files into a single share, set a self-destruct window, and copy a clean link. Recipients never need an account.
- Hold a private conversation. Open a secret room, share the link with your team, and lock the door at any number of members. Everything is encrypted on your device before it ever leaves.
- Choose your aesthetic. Twenty-six finely-tuned themes, from professional Midnight to nostalgic Terminal and amber Hacker. Switch any time; the choice is yours, not an A/B test.
- Stay anonymous. No real names, no avatars, no profile to maintain. Each room generates a friendly identity for you on the spot.
Built on a simple promise
Content disappears on the schedule you set — not when an algorithm decides. Encryption keys live exclusively on your devices, transmitted only inside link fragments that the network never sees. The XDriv service itself never reads your messages and never sells personal information.
The team
XDriv is designed and maintained by the XDriv Team — a small group of independent engineers and designers who believe that good software should be easy to understand, comfortable to use, and impossible to abuse. We have no investors, no shareholders, and no plans to sell your data — because we never collect it.
How we keep the lights on
XDriv is free for everyone, with no premium tier and no paywall. The service is funded entirely by tasteful, non-intrusive advertising delivered through Google AdSense, and we use Google Analytics to understand which features matter most to our users. Both are governed by a Google-certified consent banner: you stay in control of what is set on your device, and you can change your mind at any time. We have never sold — and will never sell — personal information.
